Murder & Attempted Murder

Baltimore: Defense Against Murder Charges

I am an experienced felony criminal defense attorney, having handled more than a dozen murder trials in my decades-long career. Choosing a criminal defense lawyer to represent you on a homicide charge is a serious matter — you should select the lawyer who you believe will be the most aggressive attorney with the skilled trial experience that you need. If you are seeking a criminal defense attorney to handle a serious felony charge like murder, attempted murder, manslaughter, or assault with a deadly weapon, I encourage you to contact me for an appointment. Your first consultation is confidential and free of charge.

Charge: First-Degree Murder
Verdict: Not Guilty

I received some media attention recently representing a repeat offender named Tyrone Henderson on a first-degree murder charge. When my client was arrested, the murder weapon was found under his bed. Three eyewitnesses testified.

I was able to raise reasonable doubt based on inconsistencies between the witnesses' statements to the police and their testimony on the stand. I also presented witnesses who testified that guns are commonly purchased illegally on the streets in Baltimore, and it was entirely possible that my client purchased the murder weapon after the crime was committed.

The jury returned a verdict for my client of not guilty.

Charge: First-Degree Murder
Result: Plea Bargain to Second-Degree Murder

I negotiated a plea bargain for a client charged with first-degree murder, which carries a possible life sentence. His eventual sentence was only 10 years. My client allegedly lured the victim into his car, where he was shot and killed. Eyewitnesses and a lot of forensic evidence linked my client to the murder. I was able to negotiate a very favorable plea given the nature of the evidence and the sentence of life that my client faced.
